Mission Needs

on . Posted in General News & Announcements

Hello everyone, we have several trips in the works and we are in need of help with instructors. Listed are the trips in the works and each one has its own logistical issues. Transportation for most trips are at the expense of the individual and once we arrive we are usually hosted by an appreciative city or town. If we receive donations in excess of equipment needs it will be applied to offset those travel expenses. All personal costs are tax deductible.

During the last two weeks of feb 2008 we are jointly organizing a trip to Ayutla, Mexico for a 10 day basic academy to jump start a new fire department. We are in need of instructors to help as we are looking to bring 10 for the mission.

Secondly, In early March we are looking for instructors to go with our Chief Piper, and Chief hadfield to train in Culiacan on ladder company operations and basic rope rescue and basic firefighting. We are hoping for a 4-5 day trip.

Lastly, we are planning our trip down to Tecate and the surrounding areas including Ensenada. We are driving down and can use a few folks to accompany us to train on auto extrication, advanced air management, firefighting skills,Hazmat and more.
If interested in any of these missions please contact our Executive Director Joel Schwarz through the web site.
